Hair Level Up (“Hair Level Up,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an online editorial magazine focused on hair inspiration, tutorials, lookbooks, and trend reporting for an American audience. By accessing, browsing, subscribing to, or otherwise using hairlevelup.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. 02 — Eligibility

Who Can Use The Site

Who Owns What You See On The Site

All content published on Hair Level Up, including but not limited to articles, lookbooks, tutorials, photography, illustrations, downloadable PDFs, logos, the “Hair Level Up” name, brand assets, design elements, and code, is owned by Hair Level Up or licensed to us by photographers, contributors, and brand partners. This content is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You may save articles for personal, non‑commercial reference, share links to our articles on social media, and pin our images on Pinterest with the source intact. You may not reproduce, adapt, translate, republish, sell, or distribute Hair Level Up content for commercial purposes, claim it as your own work, remove watermarks or credits, or train artificial intelligence or machine‑learning models on our content without explicit written permission. To request a license, email editorial@hairlevelup.com.

06 — User‑Generated Content

When You Share With Us

When you submit content to Hair Level Up, including comments, reader photos, bridal stories, hashtag posts on social media (such as #HairLevelUp), or contact form messages, you represent that the content is your own original work or that you have all necessary rights to share it, that it does not violate any third party’s rights, and that it complies with these Terms.

By submitting content, you grant Hair Level Up a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, edit, display, and credit your content on the Site, our newsletter, and our official social channels for editorial purposes. You retain ownership of your content. We will always credit you by handle or name when feasible, and we will honor takedown requests sent to editorial@hairlevelup.com within 48 hours of verification. Hair Level Up does not currently sell salon services, physical products, paid subscriptions, or memberships. Our newsletter, lookbook PDFs, tutorials, and all editorial content are provided free of charge. By subscribing to our newsletter, you consent to receive periodic emails from us, and you may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email. Free downloadable resources (such as the Hair Level Up Lookbook PDF) are licensed for personal, non‑commercial use only. You may not redistribute, resell, or repackage them without written permission.

08 — Community Guidelines

How We Keep The Conversation Kind

Hair Level Up readers are welcomed into a community built on encouragement, curiosity, and zero judgment. In all comment sections, social media interactions, and reader emails, we expect kindness, respect, and good faith. We will remove, without warning, any content that includes hate speech, racial bias, body shaming, harassment, doxing, sexually explicit material, spam, or commercial solicitation. Repeated or severe violations may result in your access to the Site being suspended or permanently terminated. Moderation decisions are made by our editorial team and are final.

In any case where liability cannot be fully disclaimed under U.S. law, our total cumulative liability to you shall not exceed one hundred United States dollars ($100.00), regardless of the cause of action.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Site, our newsletter, our community spaces, or any related service, at any time, with or without notice, and with or without cause, including (but not limited to) violations of these Terms, harassment of our staff or readers, or unlawful activity. These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. We encourage you to contact us first at legal@hairlevelup.com to resolve any concern informally; most issues can be settled with a simple conversation, and we promise to take every dispute seriously.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, both parties agree that any claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in New York, New York. You and Hair Level Up waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action. This arbitration provision does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for matters involving intellectual property infringement.

17 — Changes To These Terms

When We Update This Page

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business, our editorial practices, or applicable law. The “Last Updated” date at the top and bottom of this page will always show when the most recent revision took effect.
